Carola G. Secada (she/her/ella) is a first generation immigrant, an organizer, a strategist, and half of a two mama squad. Her motherland is Lima, Peru but her ancestry includes peoples of the present day countries of China, Spain, and Italy. In her 20 years of non-profit experience and independent consultancy, she has trained thousands of youth developers across the nation, strategized and executed family engagement initiatives in public schools, and partnered with national organizations to create spaces where social justice warriors can connect, create, and collaborate for the common good. Carola’s proudest accomplishment is raising two magical children with her life partner, Malka; all who are actively engaged with their local and global community, for the benefit of the liberation movement.
